Singer Cashman represents San Francisco based start-up Telesocial, Inc., in its dispute with French telecom giant Orange S.A. over the theft of its social calling technology. Last year, Singer Cashman convinced the trial court to deny Orange's efforts to move the case to France; a result Orange challenged via a petiton for a writ of mandamus. This year, Singer Cashman convinced the Ninth Circuit to uphold the trial court's ruling, allowing the case to proceed to trial in the Northern District of California.
The case is In Re Orange S.A. et al., case number 15-71668, in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
